The low back, also called the lumbar region is the area of the back that starts below the ribcage.
Low Back Pain (LBP), also called Lumbago is a very common disorder involving the muscles, nerves and bones of the back. The pain vary from a dull constant ache which has taken more than 12 weeks to a sudden sharp feeling, usually less than 6 weeks.

– Inability to turn to certain positions among others.

There are a number of ways to diagnose including laboratory tests, imaging like X-ray, Scan among others.

Low back pain can be prevented by some of the following;
– observe proper posture while sitting, walking and sleeping.
– always take time to stand up especially when traveling long distances.
– treat urinary tract infections timely.
